Aknir Technologies AB (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through www.aknirtech.com (the “Website”), why we collect it, how it is stored, and what rights you have over it.

This policy is written in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum personal data necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is provided.

2.1 Contact Form

When you use the contact form on our Website, we collect:

Full name
Email address
Company name
How you currently manage requirements
What you would like to test or validate with NOMOS
Any additional information you choose to share (optional)

Purpose: To evaluate and process your application to participate in the Pilot Program, and to contact you about the outcome.
Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) - you actively opt in by submitting the form.

The form is submitted by email. We do not currently store submissions in a separate database, CRM, or spreadsheet. If this changes, we will update this policy to name the additional processor and confirm its data location.

Please do not include sensitive personal data (e.g. health, financial, or other special category data as defined by Article 9 GDPR) or personal data about third parties in the free-text fields. We do not request this information and cannot guarantee special protections for anything volunteered in these fields.

2.2 Waitlist Subscription

When you sign up to our waitlist, we collect:

Full name
Email address

Purpose: To notify you when our products and services become available and to send relevant product updates.
Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) - you actively opt in by submitting the form.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

Payment information
IP addresses or browser fingerprints
Cookies for tracking or advertising purposes
Any sensitive personal data (health, financial, etc.)
Data from minors

4. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Scaleway SAS, a cloud infrastructure provider headquartered in France and operating within the European Union. Scaleway acts as a data processor on our behalf and is subject to GDPR requirements.

When you submit a form, its contents are delivered to us by email through Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.), which acts as a data processor for the transmission of that message. The submission is then held in our email inbox; we do not store it in a separate database. Resend is located in San Francisco, California, USA and is fully compliant with EU data privacy laws like GDPR.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

The only party that may technically access your data is our hosting provider, Scaleway, solely in their capacity as infrastructure provider, and Resend, solely to deliver form submissions to us by email. Both are contractually bound to handle your data securely and in accordance with GDPR.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data submitted through either form for up to 1 year from the date of submission, after which it is permanently deleted.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at info@aknirtech.com. We will delete your data within 7 days of responding to your request.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a data subject in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights:

Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
Right to restrict processing: You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
Right to data portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format.
Right to object: You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

8. Cookies

Our Website does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, your consent will be sought.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
